With the raising popularity of mobile devices like iPhone, iPad, Android phone, Android tablet, and so on, people might like to enjoy Blu-ray movies on their mobile devices. According to my expertise, Blu-ray movies are not supported by any mobile device. In order to enjoy Blu-ray movies on the go, we need to convert Blu-ray to a video format that is compatible with a specific mobile device. To rip and convert Blu-ray, a professional Blu-ray ripper is necessary.
Chosing a Blu-ray Ripper
I spent much time and effort in looking for a qualified Blu-ray ripper, and of course I have tried many Blu-ray ripping programs, but none of them delivered a satisfactory result until Leawo Blu-ray Ripper was recommended to me by one of my friends. Like many programs on the market, Leawo Blu-ray Ripper has a trial version that allows users to have a free trial before deciding whether or not to purchase the registered version. After the free trial, I was convinced of the Leawo Blu-ray Ripper and I abandoned the thought of looking for other Blu-ray ripping programs.
What the Leawo Blu-ray Ripper can do
Just like its name, Leawo Blu-ray Ripper is designed to rip and convert Blu-ray content. To be more specific, Leawo Blu-ray Ripper is able to rip Blu-ray disc, Blu-ray folder, and Blu-ray ISO image file to other video formats, such as MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, etc. It’s not limited to video output, but can also extract audio content from Blu-ray content and save as various audio formats like MP3, AAC, AC3, WAV, etc. The program can downwards accept DVD content as input: DVD disc, DVD folder, and DVD ISO image file. Possessing an easy-to-use interface, Leawo Blu-ray Ripper is easy to operate even for software green hands, and the UI is available in 11 languages (English, German, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Hungarian, Armenian, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Dutch). The program functions well on my Windows 10 PC. Actually, it is compatible with all Windows operating systems: Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10. Its Mac counterpart Leawo Blu-ray Ripper for Mac is compatible with computer running Mac OS X 10.6 or later.
How to use the Leawo Blu-ray Ripper
When importing source Blu-ray content or DVD content into Leawo Blu-ray Ripper, users are provided three modes: Full Movie, Main Movie, and Custom Mode. Designed with decryption technology, Leawo Blu-ray Ripper can easily decrypt, rip and convert Blu-ray discs with AACS, BD+ and the latest MKB protection, and CSS-DVD discs, and powered by NVIDIA CUDA acceleration technology, the program is very fast in Blu-ray ripping process. Before the Blu-ray ripping process takes place, users are allowed to set detailed output parameters, and edit output effects as well. Just like an old saying, “Each coin has two sides”, this powerful Blu-ray ripping software has some drawbacks too. It has no support for 3D Blu-ray/DVD disc. The program is not free, charging $44.95 per year and $99.95 for lifetime version. The good news is that Leawo Blu-ray Ripper is discounted 40% in Leawo 2016 Christmas Celebration from Dec. 13, 2016 to Jan. 12, 2017. Not only Windows version but also Mac version enjoys this special Christmas offer, but only limited to one-year version. I understand that no program is perfect. Although Leawo Blu-ray Ripper has some drawbacks, it is better than any other Blu-ray ripping programs I can find on the market. Therefore Leawo Blu-ray Ripper is and will be my top priority in ripping Blu-ray/DVD content. Featured photo credit: Glenn Carstens-Peters via unsplash.com
